LIA WONG

1ST SEASON COMPANY MEMBER

Lia Wong is a performing dance artist originally from Eugene, Oregon. She graduated from the University of Utah, where she earned her BFA in Modern Dance and BA in Psychology. Additionally, Lia’s training has been supported through programs with SALT Contemporary Dance, Bates Dance Festival, Countertechnique, and most recently, at the American Dance Festival, where, alongside her dancing, she worked on summer staff as the Festival Services Coordinator. Lia has had the pleasure of performing works by Sarah Ebert, Courtney Mazeika, Chuck Wilt, and Mike Tyus, among others, while in school. Since relocating to Missoula, Lia has enjoyed joining Bare Bait Dance in their 12th season as a Guest Artist performing works by Joy French, Faith Morrison, and Nicole Wolcott. Lia is also a passionate choreographer and teacher who loves to cultivate relationships through the joy and sweat of the movement experience. Lia is currently teaching at Roots Dance and Gymnastics, and when not in the studio, she is often baking bread at Le Petite Outre or enjoying the beauty that Montana has to offer. Lia is thrilled to join Bare Bait Dance as a company member for its 13th season!
